Publications of MICA Laboratory

MICA is a research laboratory which includes every curricula in ICT at the University of Bordeaux Mointaigne comprising of almost 1500 students. The laboratory refers to the French research pioneers in ICT. Robert Escarpit, Robert Estival, Anne Marie Laulan, Hugues Hotier, André Jean Tudesq heavily influenced the new research team born in june of 2009 from the merger of the Center for studies of media, information and communication (CEMIC, EA 42000) and IMAGINES (EA 4199). From its history (the union of CEMIC and IMAGINES), MICA is composed of both Information and Communication Science and Arts, Design and Aesthetic researchers. Together, they develop a research through through six axis: Media, Societies and Cultures (MCS); Information, Knowledge and Digital Innovation (ICIN); Communication, Organisation and Society (COS); Art, Design, Scenography: Shapes of City Life (ADS); Image, Design, Space and Mediation: the Experience of the Contemporary (IDEM); Digital Studies: from Data to Devices (E3D).
